Carpe Noctem, Ex Nihilo Nihil Fit is a four-track collaborative LP by DJ Nominal and The Royal Pop Historians & the Splendids, charting a bold trajectory through the Om Pharaoh Records universe. The release features two joint compositions—“Yarbles” and “A Clear Case of Pareidolia”—alongside solo contributions from each artist, offering distinct perspectives within the shared framework.

As a bonus, the LP includes four additional tracks: individual submissions from DJ Nominal and The Royal Pop Historians & the Splendids that formed the creative bedrock of the two collaborative pieces. These alternate versions provide insight into each artist’s approach before convergence.

DJ Nominal’s previous appearance within the Om Pharaoh Records constellation includes four curated mixes for the Ov Moi Omm “Discography [Revised 2023]”—a selection drawn from across the label’s roster. Meanwhile, The Royal Pop Historians & the Splendids notably collaborated with Julia Felix on the 2022 LP Culture et Esthétiques, contributing to the tracks “The Topography of Metaphysics & Actuality” and “Pentimento,” both emblematic of the label’s genre-fluid ethos.
