Second recorded offering from Ov Moi Omm, following the 2009 debut The Iron Ibu EP. The EP continues the artist’s exploration of fragmented forms and disjointed textures—less a follow-up than a further unraveling.

The opening track, Ommitionary, begins with the crackle of worn vinyl, birdsong, and the sound of a dive into water—then slips into a rhythm that quickly fractures into gongs, tanpura’s, and Tunisian cymbals. From there, the EP drifts through looping motifs, fleeting portraits, and moments of emotional dissonance. The final piece attempts to engage with the experience of mental fragmentation, not as diagnosis but as proximity—an echo of time spent with those navigating altered states.

In a rare reflection, the producer noted: “I had many dear friends who’ve suffered. I spent much altered time in their presence in my younger years.” The closing track dissolves into a breakbeat layered over flute and tanpura, slowly fading into the same surface noise that opened the record. It begins quietly, and ends just as softly.

The Foreiggnn Schizophrenik EP is said to reflect the artist’s internal landscape during travels through Indonesia—a collage of impressions, memories, and imagined dialogues.
