"Experiment I" marks the debut release in the Experiment series by Irama Gema (Malay for "echo rhythm"), an experimental collaborative project based in Southern Ontario. This inaugural installment stands apart from later entries, offering only fleeting hints of the more experimental direction the project would eventually pursue. Rooted in industrial and post-rock textures, with scattered electronic flourishes, Experiment I leans into more rock oriented material than its successors.
