Experiment IV

The fourth entry in Irama Gema’s Experiment series, Experiment IV continues the project’s quiet pursuit of the unusual. Emerging from Southern Ontario and released through Om Pharaoh Records—known for its affinity for outsider sounds—this collection leans into the unfamiliar: textured rhythms, disorienting atmospheres, and a palette that feels both tribal and hallucinatory. Themes drift through the occult, arboreal highways, parasitic organisms, cold states of being, medical imaging, and symbolic language. It’s not a statement, but a set of impressions—strange, unsettled, and open to interpretation.
*Concentrated in tropical rainforests and found within ecosystems throughout the world, arboreal animals spend the vast the majority of their life's living in trees.
Natural canopy bridges can help maintain vital connections for arboreal mammals in forests, allowing them to seek out essential resources. The expansion of highways and roads into these forests impacts negatively upon arboreal animals by separating them from essential resources such as food, shelter and mates. Canopy bridges can help animals, allowing to cross these roads to maintain gene flow between populations.
A genus within Cestoda, a parasitic class of Platyhelminthes phylum.
