“Kaleidoscopic Cultural Synthesis & its Influence on Modern Life”, from the 2011 LP, “Omniman” dates to in and around 2009. The lyrics were inspired by the Paramahansa Yogananda book, “Autobiography of a Yogi” but the track is nothing religious. Its imagery is ripped off in a secular way, to where the music itself is more, minimalistic and repetitious.

The track was composed on bass guitar and is followed along with drums. Simple. The opening riff expresses the mundanity of life which is interrupted by the sounds of life and then the minimal riff shifts, exploding into … well, you get the point. The track turned out differently to what was originally imagined, intimate and progressing in its repetitiousness. With different flavours being regularly introduced, unfolding and refolding. The completed song didn’t contain many, or if any, of those elements expressed. The song produced was a sketch. The track also features a sample taken from the documentary on American artist, writer Henry Darger, Jessica Yu’s “In the Realms of the Unreal”.

This, “Cultural Kaleidoscopic Extractions” features alternatives, extractions, transitions to different variations of “Kaleidoscopic Cultural Synthesis & its Influence on Modern Life”. The version from the 2011 LP, “Omniman” does not appear on this release.
