ICDC
ICDC—originally introduced under the longer title Ihsan & the Cabinet of Dr. Caligari—operates as one of the more enigmatic entities within the Om Pharaoh Records universe. The project blends elements of electronic jazz, classical influence, ambient drift, and exploratory noise, often shifting between structured motifs and free‑form improvisation.
Emerging from southern Ontario, ICDC approaches composition as a kind of electrical ritual: currents that loop, collide, and refract until they form unexpected patterns. The project’s alternate name, Inter‑Dimensional Direct‑Current, reflects this ethos—suggesting a conduit between disparate ideas, eras, and moods.
Within the broader OPR mythos, ICDC occupies a liminal position: part ensemble, part apparition, part experiment in controlled instability. Each release feels like a transmission intercepted mid‑flow, a glimpse into a parallel circuit where genre dissolves and atmosphere becomes the guiding force.
