Irama Gema - Anthology II Released
Updated: 5 days ago
Anthology II has now been released.
Arriving nearly a decade after 2017's Anthology, this second collection gathers thirty-one selections drawn from throughout the Irama Gema catalogue. Material from the Experiment series, standalone releases, EPs, and collaborative projects is brought together across two programs, tracing the project's development from its earliest industrial and post-rock beginnings toward more atmospheric, exploratory territory.
The collection moves through archaeology, astronomy, geography, mathematics, biology, spirituality, and cross-cultural influences while revisiting several themes that have appeared throughout the project's history.
Inspired visually by the painted floorboards seen in photographs from Syd Barrett's The Madcap Laughs, Anthology II serves as both a companion to the original anthology and a broader reflection of the paths Irama Gema has taken since.
