Pulse Burst
Pulse Burst emerged within the Om Pharaoh Records universe in 2016, taking its name from a fragment on Ov Moi Omm’s 2013 album Union Spring—a brief phrase that hinted at an energy waiting to take form. What began as a reference became a project in its own right, materializing in southern Ontario as an outlet for darker, more volatile explorations.
Pulse Burst moves through psychedelic drift, ambient haze, and the harsher edges of industrial electronic noise, often threading in faint echoes of global influence. Rather than adhering to a fixed identity, the project treats each release as an experiment—an attempt to capture a moment of intensity before it dissolves into something new.
Every composition functions as a portal: a brief opening where genre falls away and atmosphere takes precedence. Within the broader Om Pharaoh Records mythos, Pulse Burst stands as one of its more shadow‑leaning entities, a project that thrives in liminal spaces and documents the restless undercurrents running through the label’s expanding universe.
"Beware of unearned wisdom." - Carl Jung.
"[..] I do not begin with concepts and put them together to form a thought or judgement; I come by parts of a thought by analysing the thought." - Gottlob Frege.
"Thus the thought, for example, which we expressed in the Pythagorean theorem is timelessly true, true independently of whether anyone takes it to be true. It needs no bearer. It is not true for the first time when it is discovered, but is like a planet which, already before anyone has seen it, has been in interaction with other planets." - Gottlob Frege.
