Corpus Clausura: Anaretic Degree in Retrograde

A swirling, nebular sky of deep blues, greens, reds, and purples forms a textured abstract background. Gold serif text reads “10 ECHO” at the top and “Corpus Clausura: Anaretic Degree in Retrograde” near the bottom. The image resembles a cosmic storm, creating a dramatic, atmospheric cover for the release.

Corpus Clausura: Anaretic Degree in Retrograde (2026)

The closing document of 10 Echo’s first era, Corpus Clausura gathers thirty‑six works recorded between 2015 and 2023, arranged across three bodies that mirror the arc of the astrological cycle. Acting as an anaretic degree — the final critical point before transition — the release seals the decade that shaped 10 Echo’s subterranean identity.

Where earlier albums explored individual signs, Corpus Clausura draws the entire cycle inward, presenting a cosmological archive of transmissions, field notes, and drift‑based constructions. The material spans the project’s earliest experiments through its later, more expansive works, including two edited pieces originally prepared for the Om Pharaoh Records "Era" compilation series.

The three sections trace distinct thematic territories:

I — Mythic, Esoteric, Catastrophic

The first body moves through mythic and cosmological subjects. “The Paradigm of Elohim (Edit)” revisits the Capricorn sessions in a newly refined form. “The Permian–Triassic Extinction Event” reflects on the greatest mass extinction in Earth’s history — a collapse that eliminated over 95% of marine species and reshaped the future of life, leaving only the cynodont therapsids to carry the lineage toward mammals. “Kraton Ratu Boko” draws from Indonesian archaeological imagery, while “The Ophanim” invokes the rotating angelic wheels described in early mystical literature. “Wok Hei — Thermal Radiation (Breath of the Great Wok)” blends culinary thermodynamics with cosmic metaphor, a characteristic 10 Echo juxtaposition.

II — Scientific, Astronomical, Observational

The second body shifts toward scientific abstraction and astronomical drift. “Relativity of Simultaneity” folds temporal perception into layered ambient motion. “DK02091944M / The Alcubierre Drive” references Miguel Alcubierre’s theoretical warp‑drive solution — a model in which space contracts ahead of a vessel and expands behind it, enabling effective faster‑than‑light travel within general relativity. “Neonatal Cerebral Monitoring” explores medical observation as a form of quiet existential tension. “Out in Boötes Void (MCG+01‑02‑015)” travels into one of the largest known cosmic voids — nearly a billion light‑years across, containing only a sparse tubular arrangement of galaxies. The selected galaxy, MCG+01‑02‑015, sits alone in Pisces with no neighbours for 100 million light‑years in any direction.

III — Cultural, Metaphysical, Cosmological

The final body turns toward cultural, metaphysical, and observational themes. “Do Not Be Open to Manipulation by the Holder of Your Picture” reflects on image, identity, and influence. “Laniakea (Edit)” revisits the supercluster concept with renewed clarity. “Ton 618” centers on one of the most massive known black holes — a hyperluminous quasar located roughly 18.2 billion light‑years away, near Canes Venatici and Coma Berenices. “Photobiomodulation / States of Coincidence” merges biological light therapy with chance‑based patterning. “Sagittarian Facility” and “As‑salamu alaykum” close the corpus with gestures toward movement, greeting, and departure.

Across all three bodies, Corpus Clausura functions as a clausura — a sealing — of the first 10 Echo cycle. The release pairs cosmic abstraction with ethnographic imagery, traditional photographs, and ancestral scenes, creating a visual counterpoint to the project’s drift‑based constructions.

The back sleeve carries a line from Pierre Loti (1892), chosen for its resonance with the decade’s themes:

“And then I have always the feeling that in time and space I extend a little the limits of my own soul by mingling it with theirs.”
